Nan, Inc. gives $1 million to Kapiolani Medical Center

Kapiolani Medical Center is beacon of hope and love in the middle of Honolulu. This center provides much needed care to thousands of women and children each year. Without Kapiolani Medical Center, Honolulu residents would not have access to top notch health care and health related services.

Nan, Inc. is a local company, which believes in giving back to the local community. Following in this vein, Nan, Inc. donated to $1 million to Kapi‘olani Medical Center. Kapi‘olani Medical Center is the premier birthing center in Hawaii. Most local children were delivered there; it is a special place for many women and children.

Nan, Inc. founder, Mr. Nan Chul Shin explained the donation by saying, “Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women and Children holds special meaning to our family as all of my daughters were born here. We are honored to give back to the hospital that cared for our children as well as many of our employees’ children. We are also dedicated in supporting Kapi‘olani’s educational programs, and this new auditorium will facilitate the perfect environment for educating Hawai’i’s future physicians and other health care providers, who will then carry on to care for our children’s children."

This generous donation by Nan, Inc. helped Kapi‘olani Medical Center build their much needed expansion.
